Terms of Service

Last updated October 20, 2026

These terms are between you and Rudra Software Development ("we", "us") and cover your use of MailClient (the "software") and its license service. By installing or using the software you agree to them. If you use it for an organisation, you agree on its behalf.

1. Free trial

You may use every feature free for 15 days from the first time the software runs on a PC. After the trial, reading your mail keeps working; sending email, AI features and adding accounts need a paid license.

2. Licenses

A license is a subscription for one year (or the period shown when you buy). It lets the number of PCs and the number of people at a time shown in your plan use the software. You may not share a license key beyond those limits, resell it, or try to get around the license checks. Licenses renew only when you choose to pay for a new period.

3. License checks

While it is open, the software contacts our license server from time to time to confirm the license and to keep count of the people using it at that moment. If it can't reach the server it keeps working for 3 days. A license that is cancelled, refunded, suspended for misuse or not renewed stops the paid features at the next check.

4. Updates

Updates are included while your license is active. To keep everyone secure and compatible, an update becomes required 15 days after it is released.

5. Your email and accounts

The software connects your PC directly to your email providers using the details you enter. You are responsible for the accounts you add and the email you send. Your email providers' own terms still apply. If you turn on a third-party AI service (such as the Claude API with your own key), that service's terms apply to what is sent to it.

6. Ownership

The software is licensed, not sold. We keep all rights in it. You may not copy it except to install it on your licensed PCs, or reverse-engineer it except where the law allows you to.

7. No warranty

We work hard to make the software reliable, but it is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we make no other warranties, and you should keep your own copies of important email (your provider normally keeps them on its servers).

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the license in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost data, profits or business. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be limited by contract.

9. Refunds

License fees are non-refundable; see the Refund Policy. The free trial lets you evaluate MailClient fully before buying.

10. Changes and ending

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and we'll tell licensed customers by email about important changes. You can stop using the software at any time. We may end a license that breaks these terms.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta, Canada, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
